On my fourth try, bife and I tied at :01. But I guess foxy chose to go with the first one posted, which was probably only a function of the alphabet.
EDIT: On my third try, Sally was firing posts out like a gunslinger, and his third attempt hit the bullseye while I came up mere seconds short. He's cleaned the thread up a tad to show only his third, and successful, post, but believe me, there were others. He beat me with artillery.
On my second try, my edit beat Chocky to the draw, as you can see, but foxy rightly restricted time stamps to actual posts.
On my first try, I just plain lost, because I was a few minutes late. I figured, how many anal-retentives on fwfr were going to sit there and actually watch the seconds kick down? EVERYBODY, it turns out!
On my fifth try, any competitors must have finally gone to sleep -- but I still posted one second after the deadline. I'm glad it's over... |

Here I am happily sailing along doing all my voting and my Television just went bang. 
Looks like the time to get a Plasma or a LCD?
What to do?
Anyone got any info they want to share on the subject? |

We are moving in three weeks and already bought a plasma for the new place, based on consultation from a good friend who's a TV geek. LCDs look great too. If you buy a big screen, beware of significantly cheaper models which aren't HD [believe they're called LD]. If what you mostly do is watch an ordinary television signal, LD's probably good enough for you. But if you watch a lot of DVDs, or television programs broadcast in HD, you will lose some resolution. LD is also a potential solution for people who want a humongous screen but are on a budget, or don't really care to pay several thousand $US for higher resolution if they're not all that discerning. It's kind of like wine: I have absolutely no business buying a US$500 bottle of wine, but somebody whose taste is far more discerning than mine might think that same bottle a bargain! |

| One of the parents from school sells TVs at his work and he said as a general rule of thumb. Small - medium screen LCD; medium - large plasma. |
