So, I boot up and smile loudly because my review of The Birds has received 6 votes [a record for me, the newbie]. Then I go away, log in again, check out the Top Reviews of the Day and find my review is there, all right, but suddenly it's only got 5 votes.
Wuz I robbed? Or am I missing something? [or both] Enlightenment appreciated. Cheers

Hiya Babe.
The top reviews of the day only gives the votes for a review in the last 24 hours. Obviously one of your votes became more than 24 hours old so it disappeared from the top reviews page.
However, you still have the vote for your review. Click on the "My Reviews" button on the left hand side of your My FWFR page and you'll see all your reviews with their votes.
In fact, some really nice guy just made it go up to seven.
Incidentally, all newbies are now strongly recommended to read and vote copiously upon this page of reviews carefully selected for their high didactic value:
Compulsory Reading & Voting For Newbies

Welcome BaftaBabe (do you know MpaaMoll?).
If you would like to showcase your reviews twice a week to some of the FWFR regulars try the FYCTH:

Keep up the good work.
P.S. My Public Enemy review is silent on the grapefruit recipient. |

Dunno the Moll, but thanx for the review tip ... and you've reminded me, I need to catch up with my Godard reviews. What a shame he ever met Anna Wiazemsky, eh?

Hey Randall
You're a NYC star! And since we share a hometown, I've flown onto your page and sprinkled a bit of fairy-dust your way, too.
I may be living in the UK, but I'm a Red Hook girl from waaaaaay back.

Hey Mr Bean
You are too, too kind. And I've kind of done the same kind in kind, too.
You'd have more of my reviews once the 4Word Gestapo shifts my backlog, if that doesn't sound too rude I think I have over 100 in my pending file. Pend. Pend.

Uhm ... hate to admit I don't know something, but how does one go about creating one's FYCTH page? Or am I not yet icon-status-qualified? |

Hi BaftaBabe, When you click on 'My Reviews'(you can use that link) you will see all your reviews listed. You then click 'Cons' on the review that you want others to consider, you can add 5 reviews to your consider list. Hope that helps.

Go to "My FWFR" page, then go to the "My Reviews" link on that page. Click "Cons" (for "consider") on up to five of your reviews. They will pop up in the left-hand column.
Then click on the link with your username in the My Rank section, just above the selected reviews. That will be your FYC page. Copy the link and paste it in the FYC fourum topic. |

I hadn't perused your reviews before, BaftaBabe, but I have now. I can't believe your King Kong review only had one vote! It's got two now, and hopefully will get quite a few more.
Keep 'em coming.
