Benj, didst thou not picture the tongue firmly in the cheek of this lowly servant wench and not imagine the hearing of my jocular tone? Alas! My apologies for offending thee and for bringing despair down upon the house of MERPs. I shall slink away in shame and wear my horsehair shirt to bed tonight in penance. |

I normally leave a few blank lines at the bottom of the post, then put in a just to be 100% safe.

The MatchMaker! The Musical! is kinda generic. Fiddler on the Roof also is a bit about a matchmaker. |

Good point ... I'll resubmit that one! Thanks, SelflessPa!

Sorry that I misinterpreted your post. From the lack of a winky smiley to show you were kidding (tongues in cheeks have traditionally not transferred well to interweb postings), I assumed you were deadly serious about this. It didn't offend me so much, but I don't like to see anyone making the MERPs job any harder by saying they're wrong without considering just how tricky their job already is.
Apologies again if I offended you any |

I was reared by wolves. On another planet. I want to learn how to become human.
I'm filing Sean's tip in the databanks for future reference.

The one for Hello Dolly, I would have thought of 'Fiddler On The Roof' first.
The one for West Side Story made me think of Romeo+Juliet (Baz Lurman's) because music was a big part of the movie but it is more accurate for West Side. |

Doesn't really matter what you think of since "The Matchmaker" is the name of the play on which Hello Dolly is based.
Despite the music, Romeo+Juliet isn't a "musical". |

Thanks, Lemmy. Actually I resubbed Hello Dolly as Wilder's Matchmaker! The Musical! Digits crossed

I need help with a review.
My rejected review for E.T. is "Amphibian liberator steals kiss."
I was thinking of the scene in the schoolroom where the little boy frees all the frogs intended for dissection and then kisses the little girl he fancies, because he has a psychic bond with E.T. who is watching the Wayne-Ohara kiss in "The Quiet Man" at the same time. |

Re-submit as is, with that explanation, although you'll have to reduce it to less than 100 characters. Or hope that whoever processes it 2nd time has a good memory for minor details of an old film. I saw the movie a couple of times when it came out but remember none of those details. |

I'll just keep my opinions to myself then. Excuse me for breathing. |

I don't think that is what lemmy meant. I think he meant that the initial guess as to the movie doesn't affect the review's validity, as upon further investigation it becomes clear that it is better tied to Hello Dolly. (Or something like it, I avoid musicals like the plague. )
I get the feeling you thought lemmy meant something like "Nobody cares what you think". I've been a regular for three years here and lemmy has been here the whole time, and I've never seen him be aggressive/short/caustic/condescending or anything like it with anyone, ever, even under provocation.
Or after three years of successfully pretending to be a good bloke has the real lemmy finally been revealed to us? |
