FYC - The All-Animal Edition
PS: No Snakes

The recent precipitation of new reviews has allowed me to run a theme this week.

Page 2 is the best, obviously.

Five of my early attempts which are personal favourites, all with less than 10 votes.

The Abyss: Michael Beihn's (pron. Bean) character is called Coffey. I was so excited when I got this and saw no one else had it already!

Oldboy: The middle film in the "Revenge Trilogy", but the only one that does not feature the title "Sympathy for...". If it did, there is a scene where our protagonist violently eats a live octopus.

(Have you all seen this film? I'm guessing not from the comparative lack of reviews, but you must, it is an absolute masterpiece.)

Aliens: doesn't really need an explanation, other than the double meaning makes me smirk every time. Infantile I know.

Some really good reviews from everyone this round, good work!!. V&V to here.

Latest jottings.

It'll help if you have some musical knowledge - but no knowledge of human biology required.

Baffy,

I'm shocked, shocked!

Go to the SIGHT FEATURES forum and post on the "I see" an accolade updating thread.

Easy peasy.

I salute your Billy Shakespeare work, M - impressed you got my BBC Accolade so fast. But the question has to be: are you game enough to take on The Roar of the Canon?

Thanks, AC! Wasn't too hard to get it fast -- for the most part, if a film has fewer reviews, it gets processed faster.

As for Roar of the Canon ... I will definitely get it someday. Probably not just yet though - I wanted to do BB(ard)C right away mainly for the Completeness of it. Next on my docket is finishing off my own accolades, and then the Essentials. Maybe if I get tired with them I'll work on Roar.

Thank the MERPS by voting for these.

A fact to pile on to your film trivia knowledge:

My Cannibal Hookers fwfr was a line in Hollywood Shuffle AND Boyz 'n' The Hood.

Also, hoping for more Godfather votes, Andy Garcia plays the grown-up son of Sonny, and has inherited his late father's short temper.
