After noticing that Life of Brian was the 60th film added to the site (if the id number is reliable) I was curious what the 1st film was.

Turns out to be All About My Mother, at least based on the id number - never even heard of it

The film also has the second ever review posted against it, by a certain Karl Clewes

So I am curious:

Is the id number reliable - was this the first film on the site
Who is Karl Clewes
What happened to the first ever review?

Your link doesn't go to All About My Mother, which is: http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?ID=1.

I'm afraid your pan-European cred has just flown out of the window, Bife.

Todo Sobre Mi Madre, as we pretentious sods Hispanophiles call it, won the Foreign Language Film Oscar and is a great film.

It even has Penelope Cruz in it! (And it's still a great film.)

Well, actually, going off the id number, the first film added was http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?id=0. However, because the database as it stands was imported from elsewhere and the ids changed in the process, they're not actually all that accurate for films added on the old system.

As I remember it, I think Jaws was probably the first film added, but I can't be absolutely certain. If this is the case, that would make my review against that film the first review (and it's still there).

You mean Gill Against Island?

We prescribe a course of Almodovar, one to be taken after every evening meal for a fortnight, come back when you are feeling better informed about mainstream Spanish cinema.
