Poor Benji. He is no longer in the top 100.
I'm wearing a black armband for the rest of the week. |

I applaud his selfless actions of making sure our reviews get passed at the expense of his own glory. That is of course until FWFR, the Movie comes out and he becomes the prima donna he deserves to be. |

anbody got review ideas for the in-development fwfr movie?
Movie geeks practice brevity. Five words? Too long. |

FWFR reviews itself.

I think that it is the concept and enjoyment of quality reviews that is important to Benj not his ranking. But it is a shame to see such a popular reviewer out of the top 100.
Some of the sites best reviewers are outside the top 100 on number of reviewers, consider biggerboat he is IMHO one of the top few reviewers on the whole site and cares more about quality of reviews than number.
Quality is the key for a lot of reviewers rather than numbers.
Keep well

I was thinking a while ago about a FWFR Movie. Has anyone seen 'MySpace The Movie' on Myspace or such? Its realy funny. It shows things that revolve around my space./ I was thinking each of us could make a little sketch around things doing with FWFR. Examples???:
A guy getting out a tablet and pen during a movie
Someone going on a voting spree.."I love that one and that one and that one."
Someone yelling at the MEPRS through their monitor
etc.
I donno.. Was just an idea. Check out the Myspace Movie. Tell me what you guys think. I was keeping this to myself. But with all this talk I thought Id let it out. We could send all our video taped sketches to Benj and he could combine them and make FWFR: The Movie |

I think it's not such a daft idea. They could do FWFR the movie as a kind of Michael Moore-style documentary. In the bonus section, I was reading the evolution of FWFR notes, about how a simple/silly/brilliant idea grew into a website that attracts 1000s of visitors. It makes interesting reading, and could maybe make interesting viewing too.
The movie could have interviews with Benj Clews, prominent long-running FWFR alumni, IMDB ... whatever.
I think the film would be of interest to anyone who likes movies or is interested in making a website of their own. It could be done on a very low budget too.
If not a movie, then how about a TV documentary - Benj ... have you considered contacting the BBC? I'm sure they'd be interested in how a single simple idea grew into an addictive phenomenon.

Anything that plugs the site (AND gets my mug on TV screens ) sounds good to me. Mind, I'm not still not convinced it's much of a phenomenon just yet- sure, Google seems to return a lot of matches in blogs, etc... but I've still yet to meet anyone in the real world who's actually heard of the site (not that I go around loudly asking people if they've heard of my site, but you know what I mean) |

If Alan Smithee were not in the rankings, or if people had not given 'him' so many reviews, then benj would still be in the top 100.

Ooh! With a Bowling-For-Columbine-esque, South-Park-like cartoon depicting MguyX's Story of the Warm Fuzzies inserted randomly into the movie as a comedic explanation of how voting works? |
