Who the MERPs are is not a secret, it's just that they chose not to tell anybody incase they then get people asking for 'favours' or 'special treatment'.

Benj, I believe, invites fwfr'ers to become a MERP and you stay one as long as you want. The pay is fantastic you get loads of thanks in the fourum and agai, I believe, a couple of grand uk a month.

I believe that the MERPs are a bunch of benj's old Uni mates who still owe him money.

I think there are MERPs for being a perk.

During the MERP swearing in ceremony you have to promise Benj that you will never die. I think that is a practical thing to expect of a MERP as long as it doesn't have to be backed up by a kneeling display of trust to our Commander.

This is correct. Anyone failing to comply with this rule will be shot.

Ah, yes, inspired, no doubt, from that great line in The Sands of Iwo Jima: "If you die, I'll kill you."

And, I'm suprised you never mentioned the MERP perk they ALL crave: 10,000 free votes and an instant jump up 50 places on the ratings ladder

Could it be that the MERPS are self-serving members of a cabal - a secret sect that helps its own by giving them a leg up the rankings whenever they need it, leaving the rest of us underlings to beg and scrape for the crumbs from the table? Or am I just paranoid?

And is this forum being bugged by the CIA?

You're clearly just making a joke and I'm not offended or anything, but as a Freemason I can tell you that you're suffering from many misconceptions about the Fraternity.

It rarely turns out well when I pop my head in here. Regardless of who's fault it's been (mostly mine), I've been avoiding it for a reason.
