All the brain reviews, really, should be rejected retroactively as factually inaccurate. Any MERPs up to the task?
Only Benj can do that and you would need to report all the instances.
Good--I've reported every one I could find through the Report function. |

Face's review for Night of the Living Dead. It is a crime this only has one vote!
(Julie T. Wallace is the star of the film, Romero the director.)
p.s. Why so many NOTLD reviews about eating brains? There's no eating of brains per se in this movie--the zombies aren't brain-eaters--we see them eating viscera, limbs, etc., but no brains. I don't know where that myth comes from. All the brain reviews, really, should be rejected retroactively as factually inaccurate. Any MERPs up to the task?
It comes from "Return of the Living Dead" parts 1, 2, and 3, a totally separate film franchise that's really just your standard teen gore fare. These are the only zombie movies where zombies crave brains, and it shouldn't be taken as "zombie canon." Any fan of the genre (like myself) will tell you it's factually incorrect to say that zombies crave brains. Zombies crave human flesh of any kind, as long as it's still alive or still nice and fresh.
I've pointed out that glaring mistake at least once in the "reviews that are wrong" thread. Nothing happened.
Edit: make sure you don't accidentally report any reviews that talk about the zombies being brain dead. Those are correct. And I don't believe the wrong ones should necessarily be deleted. If possible, they should be moved to "Return of the Living Dead." |

Yep, NOTLD is one of those movies where you look at the page and it's immediately obvious which reviewers have seen the movie and which haven't. |

And look...
"The dead crave brains!" "Dead people craving brains."
Just on the principle of non-redundancy, setting aside the fact that they aren't accurate, how did both of these get approved? |

Voted. Anyone notice the typo in figuromo's 'JLo's booty attacts pommie'? Attracts or attacks, I wonder? |

LadyMeerkat's "Stephen King of Pop" for Ghosts
As explanation, if it doesn't immedidately inspire you: 'Ghosts' is a 'horror' video from Michael Jackson, aka King of Pop. |

We'll have to ask bife, obviously, but I don't think it's a reference to T4, but instead to T2, the second film's promotional title.

You got it Ali. I've been out of the UK long enough that I've never heard "T4" as a TV station or as part of Channel 4.
Thanks for the plug Sal - I have been trying 5 years to get a one-character review, and if I ever succeed I'll probably quit fwfr, I wont have anything left to give.
I had "A" rejected for 'Scarlett Letter' 3 or 4 years ago, I put it back in 3 times with differeing explanations, the most convincing of which I thought was that the letter 'A' was a crucial part of the story, and my 'A' was also a rating of the film (i.e. excellent), but all to no avail. It was proabably the only time I've broken the 'two submissions' rule, I wanted it that badly. I actually agree with it being declined, and deep down I knew when I submitted it that it had no chance, but I SO wanted it! I have a couple of other two characted reviews, but it is, apparently, impossible to sum up a film in just one letter
Sal - maybe that should be your next "fwfr reviewers challenge" (sorry, forget the precise name you use for the contest) |
