I don't recall now what lead me to this site. I'd checked it out and had a few laughs probably back in 2004 or 2005, but actively searched it out when I remembered the website at the beginning of this year and really got interested in the concept of the combination of wit and film knowledge.
Had my first review accepted in February 2006 and the practice of writing witty reviews in four words has been something of an obsession ever since. I've been working relatively slowly, or should I say comparatively next to some of my illustrious colleagues, as I'm yet to break the 500 review barrier and the Top 100, but I'm making sure all of my submissions are worth the reading, and creeping toward my goal.
Oh, and I've discovered fwfring is great for killing time on long train journeys! |

It's all Corduroy Pillow's fault.
I took over her job as a newspaper editor. She loved this site so much, my newspaper runs four FWFR every week in the entertainment section. So it's my job to go on the site and pick four out. I took over her job in Septmber of 2005 and submitted a bunch of reviews, most of which were turned down (they were clever but they were too generic). I got frustrated and stopped writing. Weeks later, I was talking to CP and told her I had submitted some reviews and she asked what my FWFR name was. When I said 'Yukon' she told me that in the Fourum (which I didn't know existed) there was a stream 'Introducing Yukon,' with some of you folks giving me praise. Apparently, some of my reviews eventually passed, Dalmac saw them and spread the word. I logged back on and I suddenly had a whack of votes and a boost of confidence.
From that moment on, I've been checking the site everyday. |

I stumbled across the site in Aug. 2003 when I was searching a movie title online. I was instantly hooked and spouted out a number of now-embarrassing reviews. However, I had just started graduate school, so after an initial two-month outburst I virtually stopped reviewing for about one-and-a-half years (oddly enough I did have one review accepted in all of 2004).
Now that I finished my degree, I have more time to indulge myself with the site, though not to the point that I could do 1300 reviews in 5 months (we salute you redPen!).
I have thefoxboy to thank for introducing me to the fourum . . . wish I could post more often, but it's 1 o'clock in the morning here as it is.
Interesting reading everyone's histories.

I was introduced to FWFR by my sister, a few weeks later I had overtaken her as she has a life and I obviously don't!! There's nothing like sibling rivalry!!
My first four reviews were published on 26th May 2005
My lunch breaks in work have been consumed ever since.
Long live Benj and the Merps!! |

First approved review: July 1, 2003, at the height of that legendary MguyX-noncentz race to a magic number long since left in the dust.
Was once addicted to writing and reading reviews. Now I just like killing people. |

February 2006. Followed a link from www.pointlesswasteoftime.com - rather prophetic, that!
Started out trying to maintain an average of 200 per month, but that's fallen by the wayside due to the increased demands of schoolwork, a relationship, and the (American) football season.

First review apporved March 5, 2004. I had joined 2 weeks earlier, but it seemed the owner of the site was on vacation and I was getting antsy. It seemed like my reviews would never get approved. Then wehn it did I have been hooked veer since. If Benj would have waited a few more days he would have lost me forever. I believe I found this site through an interesting site that would have News that of the day that was funny. Thjey had a side bar that showed humerous links. Looked intetresting..so I joined. Was blown away by the reviews. Though I could do just as good or better. Havent had that happen yet |

My first review is dated Jan 18, 2004. Seems longer ago than that to me, because my friends here have become so important to me.
I found my way here via a link from another site, somehow. My kids, both teens at the time, and I were in stitches from laughing at the reviews as we read them.
This fourum is an important part of my start for each day. I love you guys and gals. |

Have been here since April 2006 when the site got a wee mention in the free Metro newspaper (I think). Was pretty much addicted straight away, though it was frustrating getting the hang of things at first (but you guys were all very helpful).
My list has increased at a fairly steady rate up to 240 since then; so that's a modest 9 or 10 reviews a week.
However, I've not posted anything new in the past two weeks, possibly due to my having met a girl. My mind's been on other things I guess!
