O.K., I've been through your lowest 100, mampers. (I'm afraid that someone or other used the 'blue tits' pun before you. ) I agree with C.L. that basic-facts-about-the-making-of-the-film reviews aren't the best. Having said that, that is the sort of info that would be on most film sites but which is mostly lacking here, so potentially they do add something. Another I'm not too keen on is "1984 made in 1984". This would be like "Omen released on 6/6/6" - it's no coincidence that these films were released when they were, so mentioning it isn't really pointing anything out. I'll go through your top reviews and let you know my favourite.

I think your best would be "Bush Whacked", but the pun was used earlier here (although it fits the more recent film more perfectly). So, the ones I like most are "Trouser Snakes and Ladders", "I See Dead Pupils" and "Ben/ Jenny: I screamed". (You use capitals too much, though, and there shouldn't be a space after a slash.)

Here you go Mampers.

http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?do=uv&id=8158&Mode=reviewer&Sort=2&Rows=100&Dir=1&Start=1501

I'll hit your page later today or after work. Love your idea about telling you which review is crap. I've often read a review and thought, "This is so lame. Why would somebody even submit this?" Now I'll finally get an answer (That is, if you have any bad reviews. I'm sure they are all amazing...)

Hi Mamps, I'd like to join you soon enough by hitting 500 reviews but it appears it would take a looong time. You may want to take a look at my zeroes instead, which should be less than 30 in number. will get back to you on your best and the worst.

Editing to say that I hit you Mampers - however all the 0's were taken so I turned my gaze on to some 1s and a few 2s. You have some brilliant reviews in 1's and 2's but pretty indifferent ones as well. I guess the cream would find its way to the top with passage of time.

My opinion: Not just you, Mamp, but anyone's fwfr that is just a description of the movie with no creativity or personality added in, isn't worth the keystrokes it takes to vote.

For example, if your fwfr of "Jaws" is "A shark attacks swimmers," you will be getting a whole lot of no votes from me.

Again, just my opinion.

Am still combing through your tousled reviews, Mamp, but just wanted to mention that in the didactic department:
"Abdul-Jabbar is co-pilot." for Airplane! doesn't inspire me.

Hope to post again soon with some Mampy goodness.

5 'what's not to like' from Mampers!
Face/Off Travolta feels bit Cagey.
Anastasia Reach For The Czars.
North Country Theron has miner role.
Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs Queen: a bad apple.
The Hudsucker Proxy Norville's idea pretty loopy.
