Cheers to all for the birthday salutations. And a Happy Birthday to you as well, Morkeleb. When I was a child growing up in New Jersey, the kid next door also had a birthday on Nov. 5. Since then, I've been meeting 11-5ers everywhere I go (or post).
I guess my review for Hitchcock's Saboteur needed some explanation. It's certainly a minor work by Hitch, but for what it's worth, here's a belated explanation:
Barry Kane is framed for an explosion and fire in a factory on the West Coast, and he must flee across the country to New York to uncover the conspiracy behind it. With the film's undisguised patriotic overtones, Kane is a proud American citizen who symbolizes the force of good and morality against the nefarious plot of the Nazi dissenters.

Voted to Koli. Also saw the Ghost and voted. |

I'm back
I've been away so long I wondered whether I'd remember how to do the link thing. First it was a busy time at work, and then our PC went wrong ("NTLDR is missing" amounts to a prety scary message). But now it's home again and working smoothly. Yippee! |

3 for Yukon.
My fav was Lemmy's "High Moon." which is very smart.
Cheese's "Bruce Leashed" made me LOL; it even made my wife laugh!
Salopian's "Close Encounter, Furred Kind." is clever, bravo!

Shameless vote-grubbing.
Notes: * A Countess from Hong Kong partially takes place on an ocean liner. * Griffith's Birth of a Nation predates his America. * Three Little Pigskins is a Three Stooges film. * Cleopatra dies via snake venom. * "The Great Space Coaster" was a US kids' show. |
