Here's a funny thing: when I looked to see what reviews had been done for a film I recently added, Secret Things, I discovered that it had been added to Turrell's '& Ampersand' accolade - even though there's no ampersand in the title. Has it been added automatically, I wonder, and if so is it because the ampersand is in the original, foreign title? |

That is curious - this is an automatic accolade for anything with an '&' in the title. I will take it out and check the rest of the list for inconsistencies.
UPDATE....
I took out this and a few other films that have no ampersand in them - the others typically were foreign film titles with special characters, one was a German film with the word 'und' spelled out. Another Tristan + Isolde - obviously has a + and not an &.
So I am confused as anyone. This may be specific to a special character like &.
Anyone have any ideas? |

I hate accolades like this. Just my $.02. Makes me want to chase them anyhow, though, but not till other business is done... |

Oh man, am I coming after this accolade, after I get the proper ones done...

Kinks (i.e. non ampersandy ones) out.
Still don't have a clue how they got in there, but they are gone for now. Will monitor from time to time to prevent further infractions. |

I have seen films in accolades before that must have been due to their alternative titles. Benj said that it didn't refer to the I.M.D.B., but something is obviously going on. |

I checked these alternative titles and didn't see any - but not sure if there is a different IMDB for the UK? |

This film has now joined that accolade - no obvious reason why, including from the I.M.D.B. page. |

I wonder if the ampersand is coming across somehow in the html code - I don't know much about html, but I know that certain characters are represented using &'s and such - I will check this accolade weekly and remove the obvious offenders, but please help me out by posting here or private messaging me - thanks Sal for this new error - will remove.
Many of these films have french names (or I suppose alternate names in French) and they have the backwards apostrophe character which I imagine is HTML coded with a '&' |

Sorry to me sad and nerdy, but the & sign is used in Oracle programming and is used in substitution variables. When you wanna put individual values manually, and if you have a double &&, then you can put the value once and it wont prompt you again. I should know about this, since I passed my exam in this last week. Got my exam next week, and then I can enjoy Delhi and its sights.
