Bizzy at work. Not sure if these are worthy, but they are new and all donuts.

Oh, Mohammad Ali was originally named Cassius Clay and he resisted the draft during the Vietnam War, refusing to fight the Viet Cong.

Greetings and solicitations.

Notes:

Nosferatu is the German Herzog's remake of Murnau's classic. Klaus Kinski plays the titular role.

In Quick Change, Bill Murray is a clown who commits a robbery and cannot escape NY, dogged by Jason Robard's cop.

An Italian mail carrier is befriended by poet Pablo Neruda in Il Postino.

Vivian Wu writes poetry in calligraphy on her and her lovers' bodies.

V&V

Loved Foxy's Clause Encounters: Third Kind (Santa Clause 3)

Bife's "Terrorism. September. 11." (Munich) is brilliant and deserves more votes!
(The terrorist group was Black September and 11 Israeli athletes were killed. See -- it's a great review!)

Take note:
"Badlands" is a fictionalization of the Charles Starkweather serial killings.
In "Pearl Earring," Scarlett (with two Ts!) Johanssen poses for a painter.

I feel I should come clean on this as well - I refer to King Kong as Peter Jackson's Furious George - and the movie features a large primate - curious George was a monkey you see - Hope I didn't spoil it for you. Was I supposed to say spoiler first? Sorry I lost my fwfr etiquette book.

I'm really fond of the Moby Dick review, which may take a few seconds to sink in.
