Barnyard
I saw this at the weekend and it was really quite poor. I have so far given it 2/5 and may yet downgrade it. The animation was bland in the extreme, and I got the strong impression that the bulls-with-udders nonsense was just an error that they then had to stick with, rather than some kind of (very unfunny) joke. It also annoyed me that the coyotes (for whom it is natural to hunt) are demonised (almost literally - one of them is bright red!), while the farmer is stated as being a vegan (someone who would never ever ever farm animals). As if all that weren't enough, the plot is an extraodinarily insipid variant of The Lion King etc. (i.e. wayward son comes to his senses). Yawn. |

Yes, you did, benj. However, it was still one towards my 100, and the only previous time I had been in Peckhamplex was to see Gladiator, so I was glad to support it.
Re the barn dance, I forgot to say that the barn dance-style music was very enjoyable, so at least that was a small plus.
