It doesn't matter who they are - they do a great job and are obviously overburdened by all of us - knowing who they are buys you nothing - it does potentially leave them open to scrutiny which isn't really fair.

Through the years i have developed a very low reject rate and when I get one rejected I pretty much know why or at least it's not one of my favorites - at best they are bordeline - so I just go about my business.

They are also highly intelligent and extremely good looking, too.

And MERPs hate creeps.

They're far too intelligent and astute to fall for that kind of thing.

The criterion was that at the time when they were established, they had to have 500 reviews. I think there were under 50 in that category at that time. There were, I think, 11 MERPs: these were just everyone eligible who volunteered. Benj rejected the idea that they should not know each other's identities (or those of people submitting reviews), so I assume that they do. I have no reason to think that they can vote on their own reviews.

I didn't know about this. So you know who they are but we don't? Isn't that an unfair advantage?

I remember that, but don't remember (too many) names.

Not caring, actually, to know their Secret Identities, because that may interfere with their abilility to stand for Truth, Justice, all that stuff.

A MERP fourum is a good idea. That way they can consult each other. It's not so heavy handed.

The MERPs all emailed me, and told me you're their favourite of all the FWFR members, Turell. They added "if only there were people like him on FWFR ... but sadly there aren't."

Kissing arse aside - I thought it was interesting but not overly useful in any way and I'm not going to pester anyone for approvals - I put them in they get approved I move on - this is a site for fun everyone should learn to not take it all so seriously.

MERPs is as MERPs does. Don't envy 'em the task, plus the obligatory grumbling. I do admittedly add to the grumbling. . . . Just to feel like part of the team, you understand.

Tori, is that you in the pic? If not, who's the hottie?
