Also allowed are straight-to-video releases, indicated by (V).

Basically, whatever type of IMDB url provided, everything but the ttxxxxx number is stripped and it's all converted to the same URL format.

Yes, I see that they go us. I hold out quiet hope that you'll change all of them to www. one day.

Can one just enter the ttxxxxxxx number then?

Nope- remember that text box also doubles as a means of entering a film title. Were you to enter just 2001, then the system has nothing to say that isn't a film title. Ditto with 0002001 or tt0002001.

This works extremely well, Benj - very slick. This won't just save you time, but us too, since we don't have to type out/copy and paste the title too. I also often found it hard to remember what accolades films were for, whereas now I can add them straight away.

There's still room for improvement but it's getting there. Glad everyone seems to like what is essentially me shirking more responsibility

Also seems like a good way to undermine people trying to get accolades. If someone has an Accolade that is connected to a word or a person. Just find another movie with that word or person, add it, and TaDa!!! They just lost the accolade.

Yes, but if I've added anything to one of my accs, I announce it in JTC's accolade list elsewhere on this thread ... with the date of the change. So people can always check.

I think I've also recently noticed that if a new film is added to an acc, benj has now helpfully flagged this with a NEW sign in the acc list. But that may just be for films which are newly added to the db.

Personally, I think the new system is WONDERFUL!!!

Yup- it's automatic for films that have been on the site less than a week.

But that's not new. I remember that happening before this change.

Nope it's not, but it sounded like you thought it was. Just wanted to clarify
