It's additionally a propos, because in the original comics, all the chapters were words starting with V.

V For Vendetta inspired several of us

I wrote a bunch of reviews immediately after seeing it, over half of which are alliterative

I was going to provide links to all of my alliterative reviews, but I just checked and there's 245 of them. Plus a few pending.

All words starting with the same sound I call phonetic alliteration, and the matched pairs I refer to as a half alliteration. They also have merit, but it's the full alliteration that's my favorite.

There was a review which I can't find now that had four word beginning with 's' but two of them were a /sh/ sound. I don't agree that this is four word alliteration. IMHO and I realise others will disagree

X and Z, I don't think you could come up with much for either of those letters.

Yup, this is the kind of thing I had in mind. Any case of alliteration which is particularly hard or otherwise especially impressive. I don't think Zs would be too hard, but Xs would indeed be a challenge.

O.K., I've submitted one with four (well, five) Xs. I'll let you know if it makes it.

Editted: I now have two reviews with quadruple x's pending. I also have two reviews with quadruple z's. both letters were tricky, but I believe that x is a thousand times harder due to the lack of verbs that begin with this letter.

Just aprroved! A quadruple x! It is not as strong as my other three pending, but I'm still proud of it, and consider it one of my best reviews.

HeHe VV No, these are alliteration (beginning sounds all the same). But thanks for digging them out, I haven't read everything in this thread...

I have pages and pages of reviews that I did not go through; it's quite possible that I have some of these.

This deserves a lot more votes.

To be honest, I was surprised when it never picked up momentum with the votes. I was quite proud of that one. :)

I'm pleased to say I'd already voted on that one, but I suspect at least some of the vote-momentum problem may be because in the UK 'sheik' is pronounced 'shake' and not 'sheek.' Just a thought ...
