Well, I don't want to pursue this too much on this thread, so I'd appreciate it if you saved your reply for the new thread I will create, but in essence yes, I am suggesting that, for the kind of review which is based on a common phrase and which is often/usually written first and then a film found to fit it, reviewers should simply google fwfr ["review"]. It's easy!

If the review has been used before reviewers should ask themselves whether their review really adds value to the site or merely repeats another reviewer's ideas in a similar context.

Finally, just in case anyone gets the wrong idea, I am talking about self-control rather than any kind of formal regulation.

Whatever I had lying around.

Hints: How the West Was One had four directors, and was shot in the little-used Cinerama method, which involved three separate camera lenses.

In Sudden Death, Damme's character, who once played goalie (and wouldn't you know gets back out on the ice at one point), stymies Boothe's attempt to hold the Stanley Cup final hostage.

My five most recent.

Yukon supplied an appropriate explanation for "Grindhouse" - cheers!
Other notelets:

K9 is a police dog

"Me and You..." is Miranda July's first feature.

If you "Felch" you are... well you're... it's the act of... um... never mind.

Thursday's children

Mild spoiler for Gilbert Grape, though you'd have to see the film to know that.

Mean Girls: "Fetch" is a term used by one of the girls to denote coolness.

Wow, maybe I'm just egotistical but I always thought you named the accolade that because you liked my review so much. Anyway, I don't think you have to change it.

Hope my reviews don't bore you too much.

Hint: Tampopo is about a woman who opens a Japanese noodle restaurant. It borrows a lot from westerns.

V&V

Red Pen got 5/5 from me.
And I'd like to echo Lady Meerkat's praise of Airbolt's Fantastic Voyage review. It's ... er, well ... fantastic!

Thanks, Yuky and everyone! However, I just perused the reviews for "Hollow Man," and I have a question.

As I've mentioned before, I try to make my reviews original (as I'm sure we all do), and I don't look at the existing reviews before I submit, so my ideas won't be swayed toward others' ideas. However, sometimes this causes me to inadvertently copy someone, and as we know, sometimes these copies get by the approval committees.

My review for "Hollow Man" is "Bacon strips." lemmycaution has a review on the board that reads "Invisible Bacon strips." Since my review is fairly new, I'm guessing his was there first.

Should I have mine squashed and the votes donated to Lem? I'll go with whatever the crowd thinks.

Danke mucho.

Technically, tomato is not a vegetable!

Im in, after a long absence, just like James Bond.

Welcome back, Aahaa!
But what am I missing? What's 'Reistance'?

Oops, my bad! In the excitement of having nailed a pun, I misspelt "resistance." I'm gonna request Benj to correct it. Thanks a ton, Bafta.

And thanks to Benj, it has been fixed.
