Let me preface this by stating thi sis in no way meant to berate the MERPs.

Do you have one review in your pending pile that you wait to get approved? One that you just want everyone to see to appreciate your genius and can't wait until it gets accepted (or -gasp- rejected)?

I thought I'd start a thread where you could post your favorite review in the pending pile and we could comment on each others until they meet the grade.

I would ask that you just submit one apiece so as to make this thread manageable.

This one involves a killer baby who crawls out of the womb into a killing spree.

It's Alive! (1974): Creepy crawler.

It's SO bad it's funny. Wot about that opening line: As the doctors examine the delivery room: dead mother, a blood trail across the floor and up the walls and out the window. They part the poor woman's bloody thighs and one turns to the other and says:
"The umbilical cord has been severed ... but not surgically!"

Excellent Chris... that's a guaranteed flyer.

I've got a pile of reviews I'm proud of and waiting to unleash, but I'd rather reveal them as and when.

Ain't it a bit generic?

The one I'm hoping the MERPs accept is:

You may be right!
Though with the new "generic code" I'm not sure anymore. It fits in context, but I guess it could apply to anything that crawls, not just killer babies! <Sigh! smilie>

... but I still think it's funny.

Isnt' it possible to think you have a great pending review, only to have it declined as "similar to another review" because someone else had the same pending review submitted earlier which was accepted? After all, great minds think alike, and there are so many great minds who visit this site.

I've got a follow-up to my "Beverly Hills Call Girls" review. For "Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers" I've submitted "Pimps get their cut."

Is there a whole sub-genre of films for Los Angelean prostitutes? Am I missing out on "Malibu Madams"? "Simi Valley Sluts"? "Hos of Huntington Beach"?

Searching for my best pending made me realize that I haven't done my best work recently. But I suppose the most clever pending review I have is for Godfather, Part II:

"Michael's marriage isn't o'Kay"

I like it because it has two meanings, his marriage goes from being "not okay" to being "not of Kay."
