I wrote that just after it was over. Everybody has holes in hisser cinema experience, "must" movies that we've missed somehow. This was one of mine. It was so gorgeous and provocative that I was...startled, I guess. You Aussies are right to be proud of your beautiful land. But the story was so moving on so many levels that I'm still astonished. What a great job.

I have loved this film ever since I saw it in 1972. It made me a lifelong Roeg/Agutter fan.

One of the saddest films I've ever seen. The most evocative exploration of the culture gap on film that I'm aware of.

Until last week I would have said the same. You are in for a treat, but don't let me get your hopes up unduly. Just rent, and watch. I predict you will be back in this thread afterwards.
