How does that work if the ten or so people who voted for mine already had already voted for Ali's? Better for those folks to bestow their votes if they want to rather than end up voting twice (unwillingly) on the same review.

I believe that only unique votes count. Any dupe votes do not get added to the vote tally of the review that stays.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that happens automatically. Even if it doesn't, Benj does it manually, as he is the one who looks at all reported reviews.
