The Two Jakes is the sequel to Chinatown.

Samuel L. Jackson starred in a recent independent movie called Black Snake Moan. He also starred in another "snake" film recently ...

It's a good reference review... but I don't know is it that "iconic".

Anyhow, I think "Staging Bull.", "The King and 'Oy!'.", "Throw Mamba from Train." are your best of 2007.

V&V to Here.

Happy FWFR birthday Chris C. I sent you some votes as a present.

Foxboy and GH both got 5/5 from me.

And I espceially love GH's review:
Polly Of The Pots And Pans (1915)
All woks of life.

Five new!

Notes:
The villain of "Day of the Dead" is Captain Rhodes.
Peter Gabriel scored "The Last Temptation of Christ", and David Bowie played Pilate.
In "Red Road" a governmental security worker obsessively follows a man on her CCTV cameras.

Thanks Yukon. I thought "Use the horse, Luke" was my favorite of this round.

Got everyone so far. Not sure if I'll have time to join tomorrow's round due to the Jewish holiday.

V+v

Stand-outs for me were Whipper's "Screecher of habit" and GH's Woks. Nice work guys.

Randall had some big hitters, but I had already voted for 4 of them. Good job I was able to hit the fifth too.

Bristols are apparently large breasts. In Dreamgirls, Beyonce's character is called Deena Jones. In Freedom Writers, Swank's character intellectually nourishes her students; urchins used to eat gruel.

A little too little too late.

  • Hannibal The Conqueror, which looks less & less likely of ever coming to a theatre near you, stars/will star Vin Diesel.
  • Pride stars Terrance Howard who tries to form an inner city swim team.
