FOUR YOUR CONSIDERATION - TREASURE HUNT
Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list. Do not use reviews from the previous round - you must change them every round. Post here to declare that you've done it. Sooner is better than later. Provide a spoiler warning in your post when appropriate. You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants. The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 a.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next.

Recent, though already garnering votes due to circumstances beyond my control
just a few hintlets: Sword in the Stone: the young King Arthur's nickname is Wart; he's in training for future occupations.
It's Alive!: it's about a serial killing new-born baby with limited mobility.
Goose on the Loose: It's a bird called Randall. It talks. It belongs to the genus 'anser.'

Thursday's Child is . . . impatiently waiting for the weekend!
Notes for the Needy: The teens in River's Edge get their drugs from a man named Feck.
Shadow of the Vampire is about actor Max Schreck, who starred in Nosferatu, and fancied himself to be the actual vampire, terrorizing the locals.
Almost Famous stars Kate Hudson (Goldie Hawn's daughter) in the story of band Stillwater.
A Bond girl in You Only Live Twice was named Kissy Suzuki.
A very popular high school girl in Porky's was nicknamed "Lassie" due to her rather canine reactions to sex! |

Those were the days, my friends.
In case you didn't know, in the movie John Goldfarb, Please Come Home, Richard Crenna plays Goldfarb, who gets the nickname "Wrong-Way Goldfarb" after making a touchdown for the opposing team in college. When he accidentally ends up in a Harem (by once again, going the wrong way), the sultan (played by Peter Ustinov) recruits him to coach his football team. He is discovered by an undercover female journalist (played by Shirley McLain), who was the same person who gave him the nickname. |

I'm in with a bunch of Turkish sci-fi films and two others.

One of the attractions of Constantinople, Turkey is the Basilica Cistern. It might be a place that a Sith lord would visit.
Sam Reimi, the director of Spider-Man 3, also directed Darkman. |

Thursday's Children
Notes: Alice's Restaurant: My favorite part of the song was the part when he had to go to the draft board. When they discovered he had been in jail for littering, he was told to go sit on the Group W bench. "Group W's where they put you if you may not be moral enough to join the army after committing your special crime, and there was all kinds of mean nasty ugly looking people on the bench there. Mother rapers. Father stabbers. Father rapers! Father rapers sitting right there on the bench next to me!" (P.S. I wrote my own version of this song a few years back when I was fined $300 for driving with my license expired, OR 5 days in jail. I wasn't working, so I opted for the latter. Interesting experience.)
Throw Momma From the Train: Crystal goes bonkers when Momma supplies the perfect word, for which he had been searching, to describe a hot and humid night.
Bull Durham: Robbins tries to sing Try a Little Tenderness, except he doesn't quite get the lyrics right.

What film? Im in with something different, inspired by the What film? on this site. A first look at the review would make people think that it is a review for another movie. If anyone can guess the title of the film by just looking at the review for more than three films, Ill grant that they are a genius. I have the most possible wrong guesses in the invisio text below.
Mask: People could mistake it with Jim Carreys The Mask and keep wondering how it fits. My Date with Drew: People could mistake it with 50 First Dates and keep wondering how it fits. King Kong: This is the only version where Kong climbs WTC and damages it in part. The incredibles: Did you think of a documentary that trashes the influence of comics on kids? Happy Feet: Kidman voices a penguin. I am sure you thought of The hours where she wore a false nose. |
