Maybe it's been done before, but dgbenner got a chuckle out of me for this review, though it's a spin on the most prolific pun on the site.

I thought I saw it somewhere before.

[I'm hearing the refrain to Bob Marley's "Stir It Up" in my head now.]

I get the high sea pun but what is 'hi-c'?

Perhaps this pun should now be retired. We could have a retired puns list / thread.

Hi-C!

(But I thought they drank the poison in Kool-Aid.)

Contrary to popular misconception, they drank poisoned FlaVor-Aid, and not Kool-Aid.

So how come people don't vote in droves for this one?

After which they needed First-Aid.

More accurately: "After which, it was too late for First-Aid".

That's weird. I'm hearing the Dread Zeppelin version...

And, Whipper, I too groaned out loud and then voted for it. I wonder how far we'll get from the original line until we can no longer recognize it.

Yeah, that's the fine line with this kind of pun, keeping it balancing on that tightrope. I recently FYCed this review and it got a really disappointing 3 votes. Now everything is right in the world.

Thanks Mguy. I was glad I could get 'Hi-C' into some review somewhere, even if a similar film had the same... I still try to avoid the pun, as it's the lowest of humor.

Beanimo it knocked out of the park for me with his recent one for Mary Shelley's Frankenstein:

I sew dead people.
