this little diamond in the rough will probably be hard for most of you to find. it's easy to tell the budget was pretty low, but they did OK for what they had to work with.
it puts an interesting, non-traditional spin on the werewolf mythos, and features a cameo by the Dr. Pepper guy who starred in "American Werewolf in London."

yes, sounds like the kind of film I like to check out. Unfortunately, as you say, I can't get it from my postal DVD service. Mind you, it's only got a 4.7 on the imdb star rating - which will mean Sean will ned a lot of persuading to watch it! Care to share more about the flm, without giving too much away?

the biggest difference between BBW and other werewolf films is this one talks. he also really enjoys terrorizing his victims, not just acting on predator instinct. think a hairy Freddy Krueger.
there's also some interesting interaction in the main character's family. hope that's not too much.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I think Wolf is one of Jack Nicholson's most underrated films. It's also one of the most underrated films of the genre.

No, that's good, thanks. I'm reading some online reviews too. That link to the horror site is good.

I agree. I think that it's Nicholson's performance that is underrated. I can't think of another serious film (as in not Teenwolf!) that centres it's story on the werewolf and the transformation and the feeling of power due to the sensory augmentation and that kind of thing.
