Well, I think everyone seemed to like this. So here's Chapter Two:
DA ROOLZ 1. Look at the top-rank of your SECOND PAGE. Pick ONE film you think deserves to be on your first page - as sorted by votes received.
2. Isolate that film* and present the link in this thread WITH ...
3. AN EXPLANATION OF WHY YOU LIKE IT.
Who knows, your wish may come true
* It's been covered before how to do this, but here's a step-by-step recap: 1. Go to the page featuring everyone's reviews of your chosen film.
2. Select Reviewer Name for the page display. 3. Find your own review and count which number it is on the page. 4. Up at the top url display you'll see something like this: http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?sort=2&dir=2&id=1698&Mode=&Rows=1&Start=11 5. See where it says Start=11 ... change that numeral to whatever you counted in step 3, and press go. 6. Your new page should now start with your chosen review. 7. NOW, to eliminate all the other reviews still showing, go up to the url display again and see where it says Rows=100. 8. Change that to Rows=1
2. From the drop-down display options choose My Reviews Only.
9.
3. Your new page should now have only your chosen review displayed. Copy that url and use it as your link for this thread.
HAVE FUN EVERYONE!!
PS Thanks to Whipper for reminding me that the lovely benj has, of course, been working tirelessly to provide this drop-down option for just such occasions. Sorry, benj ... sorry, everyone ... hope it's fixed now

Seeded!
I like this because it's true on two levels, both literally and in PunLand. By that I mean that egg-cells divide exponentially, so the tiny starting point changes immediately into something else. There are also subliminal culinary associations of over easy, but that's not so relevant

May I suggest that these be spread out a bit more in future? It's just that most people's second page top rank will be the same as it was last week, so by definition they will probably have to choose a worse review? |

I'm not sure if I totally agree with you here Sal.
1) my first round review is now deep into my first page.
and
2) I do have quite a few more reviews that I think should have the same treatment.

That's good to hear, but not relevant to my point.

Sure, but you chose the one you thought best last week - it would be a strange coincidence if you liked multiple ones absolutely equally.
I don't mind if this idea happens weekly - just wanted to note that it will affect the selection of reviews. |

Gimme some love, people!
I just love this review for Serenity. Two beloved characters named Wash and Book were killed during the film, and fans of the TV prequel series "Firefly" were very affected by their deaths. I really like how this review is worded.
Thanks! |

How can a show be a prequel when it was produced before the film? The mind boggles.

It might be good if she alternates pages each time - say next time choose ones on your last page you want to move up a page, and then go back to the 2nd page reviews you want on your 1st page for the week after.

Right I see where you are coming from but I do not think that Baftababe was expecting us to deal in Absolutes when she thought this up. |
