Well, you've guessed wildly something I don't think I've ever mentioned. Not really a job, but an extra duty that I had for about a month at an off-Broadway theater during a work-experience gap at my first year of university. It actually led to an acting role some time later.
Good guessing, Sal!

If you hadn't done it along the way somewhere, I would have been quite surprised! Does this count as the right answer Stalean?

If not, my next guess is myself and Shiv.

Well, here are the dilemmas. I went back and actually found the posts where the two I have in mind said they had done ushering. I have been making my questions based on actual information garnered from fourum posts, because how would all participants have a fair chance of answering.

Second dilemma, I assumed one couldn't answer the question if one was the answer or part of the answer (as this wouldn't really be fair). Since I didn't make up the game or rules, I will defer this one to duh, as it doesn't say you can't in her original post.

So, this is what we have:

Yes to Salopian.
No to BaftaBabe (even though she may have been, but she did not post this in the fourum, according to her) and Shiv (I couldn't find a post).

Sorry, yes, I thought afterwards that maybe I should not have entered, but then I decided that redPen had set the precedent for this by answering my question involving himself. (I certainly wouldn't have answered had I been the sole answer.)

Anyway, I won't make further guesses for this question, and I think we should adopt as a rule that people cannot give themselves as answers even in multi-answer questions.

However, I don't think we should adopt as a rule that the answers have to be in the Fourum - the thread's not called 'F.W.F.R.er Fourum trivia'. It's also more impressive to give answers that are no longer recorded, that are on other websites or that have been told in person.

No problem, Salopian. The rules aren't clear about this.

I have no problem with you continuing to find the second person.

I'm just wondering what the point of asking a question that has been told in person would be if no one else could answer? Also, Archive search will give you all posts since the fourum started (if it doesn't time out, that is ).

If someone sees that they themselves are the answer to a question, they cannot pose the answer. They are exempt from this constraint, however, if their SO is the answer to a question.

Probably ought to leave out things that have been told in person, just in case those things may have been intended to be confidential. Things posted on the Fourum or elsewhere on the web (or in print or on the nightly news, etc. are in.

Do you think you could edit your original post to include these rules, duh? I thought I had seen the stipulation for answering oneself to a question, but when I went to your original post, I didn't see it. I then thought I must have imagined it!

Yes, that's much clearer. And - just to clarify - my post about ushering wasn't me trying to participate in that round, but to verify Sal's guess. Since he admitted he, too, was an usher I guess I thought the round was completed.

My bad and sorry if I caused offense.

I see you've noticed how strictly we adhere to rigorously defined protocol here. No, really, we AREN't just making it up as we go along!

I was more imagining things that might have come up at F.W.F.R. get-togethers where several people were present.

Never been able to archive-search successfully here.

Hhmmm, I think people can usually tell the difference between confidential and general information!

Strange where these ideas come from! O.K., since no one else has guessed, my next guess was going to be duh.
