Justice League of America
2010?!?!?!?
Are they waiting for all other superhero movies to be filmed? THey need yet: Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, etc.
How can they actully do this though? Can you really take seperate characters from different movies with differnt directors and mash them all together and get and actual movie? Plus talk about overkill.
Im a comic book fan. Sorry if I seem to talk about comic book movies alot. |

It's gotta' be a tough one to do- Superman and Batman alone, as we know, each warrant their own films. I guess the nearest approximation managed before are the X-Men films and even then Bryan Singer had to drop half the characters (notably fan favourite Gambit) to make it work and fit under 2 hours.
Perhaps Watchmen will redefine what can be done with a large cast and make us all stop thinking this is going to be another Batman and Robin, but I still can't see it working unless Supes and Batman just fleetingly pop in for the odd cameo |

Jessica Biehl is apparently tipped to play Wonder Woman. I must admit when I was a kid reading the comix I always pictured Jane Russell in the role.
Of course, she'd be a bit on the old side now.

Ah, but there's always CGI. I think these types of movies shouldn't be done in live-action, and with the very realistic looking animation we can do today, you could get a Wonder Woman who looks just like Jane Russell in her prime!

I may be mistaken, but I'd always thought of Wonder Woman as an Amazonian warrior type or at the very least curvacious, not a scawny blonde bint.
Is Catherine Zeta-Jones unavailable? |

Your second question sort of answers the first. This film is a monumental undertaking, they need time to get it right.
What I want to know is if it's going to feature the actors from the Batman and Superman films. Routh signed a contract for more than one film, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a Superman movie...he can play Superman in another movie, instead, like this one. It would be interesting seeing him alongside Bale playing Batman...I don't know if it would be good, but it would definitely be interesting. I know that a few years back there was serious talk of Batman vs Superman or something like that, I think the premise was that some supervillain was going to turn them against each other and they'd fight before realizing who the real enemy was and becoming friends again. Anyway, the point is there's been talk of getting the characters on screen together for a while. In the comics, they frequently helped each other out.
I'm assuming it will be the modern incarnation of the JLA, meaning no Aquaman and a black Green Lantern. |

Poor Aquaman, nobody ever took him seriously enough.
Probably because of The Man from Atlantis (Patrick Duffy's best work, I think)
I remember the JLA when it was just called Super Friends on Saturday mornings, which I couldn't help but think of when watching Sky High and Zoom and even F4. |

I find it hard to believe it's really going to be the Justice League of America. That's really outdated with the Cold War over. Sure, I'll bet the Justice League isn't in it to protect the Jihadists. But aside from them, the idea that they're only here to protect America and our allies is kind of silly. Besides, I'm pretty sure the most recent show was just JL. |

Warners seem to be really worried about confusing the public if they run a "parallel" franchise to their lead franchises. Christian Bale will NOT play Batman in JLA and altho Brandon Routh is willing he is being blocked by the studio from playing the JLA Superman. Jessica Biel has backed away from playing WW.
Currently Tom Welling is touted as the JLA Superman but would the TV Division release him? Anyway theres a new casting "certainty" every week!
What i want to know is there any Kevin Smith involvement? He was supposed to have written a Superman script ( much discussed in the Evening w KS DVD ) and didnt he write a Green Lantern?
Is the "Watchmen" movie up and running yet? I heard it had been fully cast. |
