Contrary to what I have just been doing, the point of these challenges is indeed not just an opportunity to lazily promote one's existing reviews. I'll therefore be most impressed by references to current singles and albums. Clear-cut new submissions seem to be getting processed very quickly at the moment, so this shouldn't be a problem.

Seen to here. Lots voted on already, and some great stuff i'd missed...

Very confused at Whippers selection. Of the first 12 links I checked none of them fit the criteria. Are these dud links or am I missing something?

I recognized quite a few songs in Whipper's list, but I was also baffled by others. His musical tastes must be quite eclectic.

Voted to here.

Well, as Chazbo says, I'm pretty eclectic, although as long as I avoid strobe lighting I'm usually OK.

Actually, when people ask me what kind of music I like, I'll often say something like "oh, you know, Hoagy Carmichael, The Ramones, that kind of thing..."

However, I'm also an idiot as my links were to the vote order of all my reviews, and as votes have come in the number has changed, and so has the review.

However however, the first few are OK. "Make Em Laugh" from Singin' In The Rain, you will have heard of Roxie Music, which is a name of a band AND one of their albums, "Simple Twist Of Fate" is a Bob Dylan song (from "Blood On The Tracks"), "Falling In Love Again" is from The Blue Angel sung by a certain Ms Dietrich, "Ain't Misbehavin'" is a famous Fats Waller song, "I Shot The Sheriff" was by a Mr Robert Marley (but don't worry, it was in self-defence!), "Give Peace A Chance" was John Lennon and "Sentimental Journey is a famous song -

Gonna take a sentimental journey,
Gonna set my heart at ease,
Gonna make a sentimental journey
To renew old memories.

So now I find out that I've been making jokes of these song titles and lyrics for several years and many of you haven't connected to many of them!

I'll redo the links soon and repost so you dont have any wrong ones there any more!

Well I figured it was a vote ordering thing because all of the reviews I read had nothing to do with song titles or lyrics I knew. Wouldn't have had a problem with the ones you mentioned, I just gave up.... I will check your links again presently Whipper.
