Nought For Consideration #3
Do you have a page of zero 'voted reviews' you'd like to submit for consideration? Well, many of us do... It can be tough getting some of our more obscure reviews a thorough 'looking at,' but with the help of this thread, we can take steps to remedy the situation.
Simply post one(Hell, post several) of your 'Zero' pages and I'll gladly take a look. Many of you already know I peruse your pages casually, but if you submit, then I guarantee I'll have a glance. I hope you'll view mine also, but the rule of this post is that you aren't obligated to do so. I simply find it a proactive way to fill an occasional weekend.
I'll happily view your submissions. Looking forward to it...
Some zeros need to remain zeros, I recognize that all too well by viewing my own bottom-dwelling reviews, but if you've got some reviews you feel haven't been given proper attention, then feel free to submit them here. I look forward to diggin' up some hidden gems.
This post(formerly known as 'Zero to Hero') is currently slotted for the 2nd Friday of every month. Let's get those zeros some attention!
Thanks to everybody for your past inspiration and participation... |

Thanks C.F.
I had never previously paid much attention to votes coming in during these sorts of rounds, but after some people had mentioned the issue on the previous occasion, I took notice last time. Unless people voted at almost exactly the same time, only about three people did (other than me). I don't mind not getting many votes (not that that is normally the case ), but I'd like people to give the time that I give to their reviews, even though of course there is no obligation here. I'll therefore this time just be visiting C.F. and anyone else who says that they have visited me/everyone. |

What's a zero voted review? I am unfamiliar with the term.

Well, when you entered last time with your concerns, I gave much consideration to the participation involved in this particular thread. Obviously, there will be those who simply post a zero page and simply move on. The rule I posted is very clear on the issue... you don't have to view my submission(s). However, I think the thread works best if the posters view the listings of all involved, and I guess that would include me.(I, of course, view everybody's)
If I stumbled onto this thread, I would make it a point to view all the submissions, while posting a memo stating that I had done so, so that reviewers like yourself would feel justified in touching me up also...
I really enjoy posting this thread, so the 1 rule I've established will stand as written, but doesn't it stand to reason that quid pro quo would benefit everybody involved?
Do with it what you will... I still love Whipper's response, tho... Suck on these!!!(That's not condemnation, either... Whipper always seems to touch me(my reviews) in places that make me smile)
I will be re-visiting this thread throughout the weekend and visiting all who submit, while documenting the progress. I've only managed to get thru 2 reviewers to this point, so much work must be done on my part, but... I love the process. This thread is constantly visited/frequented by those reviewers I respect, those who receive unsolicited PM's from me stating as such...
Keep the responses coming, y'all(Once again, I'm not from the hills of Appalachia) |

Well, let's see if I can curtly define it for you... A zero voted review is what keeps my submission pages 'bottom-heavy,' while I wait for the reviewers of this great site to catch up to my self-important genius... In other words, I have to force my unwanted reviews upon all those who visit this thread, in the hopes that they will deem at least a few of them 'vote-worthy'... |

I didn't express concerns (at least any of my own) last time. I just noted that I was unusually stating that I was visiting everyone (something which I had previously thought should be taken as read and which indeed I find quite annoying, especially in the F.Y.C.T.H.). |

Concerns withstanding, you seemed to have some questions as to protocol, though I could barely read the print(I think it was in pink, if I miss my guess, so my browser wasn't picking it up in full legibility). Based upon what I gleaned from the last thread, tho, I thought long and hard as to what my rules should state... I definitely encourage participation on all levels, but if reviewers want to skip my submission(s), so be it.
Hopefully, I haven't mis-read your intentions again, tho I may have incidentally

Not questions either. I begrudgingly posted that I would visit everyone, as I didn't want those who had raised the concerns to think that I was one of those unvoting, were there any.

You were supposed to highlight it in order to read it! |

Oh, missed the highlight portion of the post... Seems, I always manage to miss something. The older I get, the wiser I get, but dumb follows right behind... |

Sal, against my competitive nature, we are now tied on the 'Outpost' page.
In other words, I viewed you(you are my third)... Now, I'm getting ready to take my inebriated ass to the telly, and see if there's some merit to this flick called 'Funny Games'
Love me some Naomi Watts, as well as Tim Roth. Hope it doesn't disappoint...
Love going toe-to-toe with those I respect... Hopefully, many more will submit their pages, so I can revel in my weekend...
Everybody I've missed tonite will be V & V'ed tomorrow |

I was obviously trying to be too clever. I tried to make that part of the post as not there as possible, while still being unmissable (unlike beige).
Anyway, all I mean(t) is that I would rather be able to trust that everyone has visited me and that everyone could trust that I have visited them. |

Thanks, but yeah, I think I'll probably delete my one, especially if I can come up with another review. (My 2008 accolade is the first one that I have ever attempted to achieve.) Or rather I'll report it so that you can get the votes if Benj agrees. I've already voted for yours.

I thought it was great but at the time did not realise it was a remake. It could well be a shadow of the original. |
