Just gotta say how much I like Pam Grier. She's gorgeous and full-bodied and I like her crooked mouth and slightly arched nose. Awhile back, I recall that she had a role on Law & Order. I pointed her out to my son and told him about some of her career that began with blaxploitation films.

Bill Paxton: I have a hard time even remembering his name, because he is such a chameleon. His role as the demon slaying daddy in Frailty is one I particularly enjoyed.

Shirley Knight: I first took note of her in Playing for Time (1980) (TV) as Frau Lagerfuhrerin Maria Mandel, a Nazi concentration camp guard. Her character took in a little Jewish boy as kind of a pet. Later, she sadly sent him off to the gas chambers with the words, "The greatness of a people is measured by the sacrifices it is willing to make." Horrifying!

Ed Norton. David Strathairn. Mary McDonnell.

I'm rarely shy about my favorites, so I won't recount them here. But I just had to comment on Bill Paxton. I do recognize and identify him in films and honestly, I usually find him really annoying. None so much as his characterization in Aliens. That whiny, over the top weaselly character. Ick. But I do agree with you, duh, about Frailty. He was the director of that film as well and I think he did a marvelous job in that capacity. My Bill Paxton accolade for anyone who cares to complete it.

A plus was the casting of Matthew McConaughey, who I think is actually quite a good actor, although I wish he'd take more roles such as this one, or A Time to Kill, or even Edtv. His choice of roles is a bit schizophrenic, swinging from good characterizations to romantic leading man comedy. My Matthew McConaughey accolade.

I am a huge fan of Edward Norton. Always have been. I wanted to get that in before he becomes a blockbuster star (a move I just don't understand). Here's my Edward Norton accolade for anyone to complete.
