May just be, i realy needed half an excuse to post a thread about a long forgotten review.
I don't really get time these days to do a proper reflective on all my bank of reviews so it's nice when one pops up again to remind me how damn good i can be every now and again. |

I confess to the deed. I rewatched The Fly last night and went online to see what my old review for it was (rather pitiful, I'm afraid). Then I saw yours. Nicely done!

Thanks Chazbo, The Fly first introduced me to David Cronnenburg and then I started to watch his previous films and track his progress, I remember at the height of my Cronnenburg obsession I made a 'date' watch Dead Ringers based on the fact that it was another Cronenburg movie. I really should have turned it off when i realised the subject matter.
She thought I was sick and unbalanced..... curiously she stayed and watched the whole movie and the next one I had rented that night... DOA with Denis quaid and Meg Ryan, oh it was a fun night!!

The Fly would also have to be high up on a list of the top ten date films by David Cronenberg.
