Sure -- especially if you're replacing it. As I mentioned in the suggestions thread, I found that it worked better when it was more on one page.

you could have a list on the accolade page that is people who have previously achieved.

This could be listed below people who have currently fulfilled the requirements

I have some sympathy for people who achieved an accolade, only to lose it to an auto-update.

<aybe the award could stay on one's shelf but have a banner accross it that says "UPDATE," of may it could be greyed-out.

Just another thought.

If the accolade creator makes it clear that the accolade will auto update, I guess the would-be accolade completer can choose to pursue it or not based on that knowledge.
