Further to some of the discussions that have arisen in the fourum lately, I'm presently looking at the workings of the approval system as I'm not entirely sure it's feeding the correct decline information back to you guys in all cases. I should add that it does at least seem that reviews that have been approved are being treated as such, I'm just not convinced you're necessarily always getting the feedback or correct decline reason when provided by MERPs.
Please bear with these hiccups as I try to figure out what's going wrong where.
Okay, I've found (and fixed) a problem which would have caused quite a few reviews to be missing feedback from the MERPs so some of you may now find a bit more detail on curiously declined reviews.
Oh... and whilst I'm here, in case I haven't said this before (and I suspect I haven't), I've always seen feedback as something MERPs may use if they feel the decline reason alone doesn't explain well enough the rejection. By no means should you expect every decline to have a personal explanation... but I'm sure most of you already realized this anyway
Thanks for your efforts to smooth some choppy waters Benj. In my own case the recent review that I highlighted in Cankle's thread hasn't got any more information on the decline, which struck me as odd as there was dialogue between the MERP and me (sounds like a film - "The Merp and Me") before the second decline. Can you please have a look at this?

I've checked in the database and there's no feedback given for that review on it's second decline so the above fix won't show any more than the nothing you already had. I've also checked declining test reviews every way I can with feedback and it's being successfully passed back to the user each time. All I can conclude is that there was simply no feedback given in this instance- that's as much as I can tell right now
EDIT: Further to this, for my own reassurance as much as anything, I've just PMed the MERP responsible for the second decline in the hope they can recall their decision on this review and that it matches with what the database is saying.
