I often come up with an obvious pun or rhyme, etc. review log on and find out that it was indeed obvious and someone submitted it years earlier (often noncentz). I always vote for the review because hey great minds think alike.
I dedicate this thread to posting all of the reviews that beat you to the punch. Any time you find someone already has a review you thought of, list them here so that everyone can vote for them. |

Well, there is this famous one on Henry VIII and His Six Wives which I didn't know about when I thought of it and posted it for Anne of a Thousand Days.
(I did ask the other writer if they wanted me to remove mine, but they never wrote back, so I left it up.)

You could have submitted it even after your quota and it would have gone into your declined pile ready for submission on Monday. |

Yeah I guess I could have, I just tend to stop entering reviews on the site once I've reached my limit. If I come up with any I just write them in a text document and submit them the next week. I guess I should start entering the ones that there's a chance might be thought of by others as well. |

In other words, all of them. You can always delete them and resubmit them as first submissions on the Monday if you want the MERPs not to ignore them for ever (although you'd have to juggle the possibility of a duplicate having been submitted and not deleted -- I delete such cases but don't know whether others do). |

Bugger, TitanPa beat me to this.
I went to enter this review a while ago and saw that Whippersnapper had got there first. And just now, I thought of it again (having completely forgotten about the first time), went to the page and was annoyed a second time! I even voted for it the previous time! Jesus I'm stupid.
