Yes, it is always good to remember such things. None of us are perfect, we all get into huffs from time to time, but at the end of the day, we can still be friends (even if only virtually).
This is, after all, a friendly site.
And with the book out and all sorts of publicity bringing new people to the site, we should try to be on our best behaviour.
Of sorts.

I love writing reviews. oh....and I love cats also.
(btw, whats the deal with people bringing back old threads? We're not trying to clutter this place up for new visitors. So why bring back questionable threads? |

There's no time limit to replying to threads. I replied to this one as soon as I found it.
Replying to old threads just puts threads in a different order: it doesn't add clutter. Apart from the very few active threads, there's no reason for threads that were started more recently to be right at the top.
What does add clutter is people continually starting new threads about things that already have threads.
The best thing to make the Fourum user-friendly for new visitors is for people to post in the correct places and to label threads in a clear way instead of the silly mania for initialisms and acronyms, and giving hopelessly vague titles like "What has happened?!" |
