I was thinking about all the phrases that Shakespeare introduced into the english language and thought it would be a good exercise to try and spin some of these phrases into reviews, in respect for the old bardstard.
Would be interested to see if anyone else could/has come up with any others. Here's a list of some of his phrases to get your creative juices going.
Some of my entries
More to follow once I work out how to do one link to all of them. Watch this space (or go to my reviews page). |

A rich source in this film, but I've only listed my text-based, not title puns. |

whenever i tell someone about fwfr, i use this one -- my #1 all-time vote-getter -- as an example. i then, often times, have to explain "Othello."
edit: i don't think this is necessary but MACBETH SPOILERS FOLLOW:
on a kind-of-related note, the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival just wrapped its FREE run of "Macbeth" and begins "Romeo and Juliet" soon. during the scene in which MacDuff's family is assassinated, a lady in the audience screamed, "HE KILLED A BABY! WHAT KIND OF FUCKIN' PLAY IS THIS?"

Oh shit, I've cloned that quite excellent review. I used it for Cook, Thief, Wife, Lover, but yours is a better fit. Deletion imminent!

i notice that it's already gone, but i don't think that was necessary. i'm sure it wasn't intentionally duplicated and i've seen other identical reviews for different films by different users. the integrity is refreshing though. |

Well, I'm finally inspired to submit some reviews for this movie. Maybe one will get accepted this time! |

Brilliant. I love some people's reaction to Shakespeare when they don't know what's coming.
A couple of years ago I played Hamlet in an open air production and was flyering in costume on the streets of Cambridge to drum up audiences at the start of the run - and some bloke walking past me muttered "Fuckbeth" - kept me amused for weeks. |

Thanks to BiggerBoat for inspiring a review I just had approved which is now one of my favourites! Funnily enough, I didn't actually think of the pun and then find the film - I came across a good film to review and then obviously had Shakespeare on the brain when thinking of review ideas!
To be, or not to be?
(It's also in my FYC this week.)
