A bit late to the game but I just hit over 20 of yours. Bravo and keep up the good work. Some marvelous puns there!

Thanks Lamhasuas - had a good poke about and distributed lots of votes - definitely some reviews worthy of higher status in your collection. I heartily recommend joining us for the odd round of FYC now and then to show us your wares.

Well, I've given you another visit, in case you get desperate... Your Gone Baby Gone one is too similar to mine, though.

And why not? I've revisited your pages as well.

I was mildly worried -- as it turns out needlessly -- that demand might outstrip supply here. Maybe people are looking askance at such a simple quid pro quo. I don't mind taking their credit card details if that reassures them.

Quite agree with your comment above about it being harder to think of good new ideas as time goes on. I've been interested, as I've scrolled through so many pages, how frequently ideas are recycled, & encountered lots of recurring personal themes that people favour too.

I've just put together my first accolade. It comprises films featuring one actor/actress playing identical twins. I've deliberately withheld some v obscure contenders.

(And I must get out more.)

Thanks; I've just seen.

It's more likely that people just haven't looked in the thread yet. Plus, as demonic points out, it's quieter in the summer.

Yep, it's a hot topic. We're not all agreed on what level of similarity and what level of plagiarism is acceptable...

I'm very guilty of this -- e.g. getting a certain phrase in my head and then submitting loads of puns on it. So when I view others' chronological pages I'm glad to see that some of them do the same.

I've got a Two by Two accolade but there's no requirement for each set of twins to be one actor, or even any actor at all.

I think I've got caught up on another bunch of your gemmiest-gems. I really liked your fwfr for Planet Terror: "Rodriguez: zomage."

And, echoing some of the above - get into some of the 4UM voting games ... you're bound to get the thumbs up!!

Well, this horse I'm flogging may not be dead yet but it's not looking very well...

I will, accordingly, put a deadline on this of midday, GMT, Friday 07/08/09.

I still have 98 votes to give away before I reach the 500 mark. Hit my reviews: I'll hit yours.

Hey lamhasuas, I actually started hitting your reviews the other day and then had to leave quickly so forgot to finish the job! Just had a long perusal and distributed many more votes - you have tons of great reviews

As some of the others have said, the voting games are a good way to get votes, especially the FYCTH. Hope to see you there!

Ah, another man in shades.

Thank you very much. A s[matt]ering of votes will have appeared on your pages. I hope for the sake of your sanity you haven't actually watched too many of those obscure films.

Nearly there. Any more for any more?

May I suggest looking at Conan's page? He can't really be around too much at the moment, but he's a generous voter and so has probably already voted for more of your reviews than the average person and will likely give you a thorough visit when he can.

Good suggestion -- thanks. Plenty of clever, smile-inducing reviews there, easy to jettison a load of votes.

OK, one bestowal left.

Yes. Good idea. Ive visited benjs reviews & used up my last batch of votes. Rounds things off neatly.

So, Im done. An interesting experience, one way or another. (Surprisingly hard to give votes away, for one thing I thought my hand would be bitten off.)

My averages have risen considerably & this thread can now sink into oblivion.

Cheers.
