I personally feel that the MERPs and benj need a bloody big thank you for the excellent work they are doing, I am astounded that reviews are being approved faster than I can ever remember.
I am also finding that declines have a good explanation and guidance on how to improve / make appropriate where possible.
So kindly MERPs and benj thanks for all that you do and I hope it makes you as happy as it is making everyone else

I agree. I can't remember the last time I had a completely clear pending pile - and single reviews since have been practically instantly dealt with. Thanks MERPish ones, your efforts are very much appreciated. |

What they said. I've submitted more than my usual recently, and all have been passed/rejected in a very short space of time.
I even had a re-submission declined with a long explanation and a "sorry" attached. |

I've also had a lot of reviews processed very quickly lately, but at the cost of numerous blank declines (including for resubmissions specifically asking for reasons) and unreasonable declines (for example my resubmission of the review for which demonic had a later duplicate approved). I'd therefore prefer slower processing. |

I'm surprised Sal; I would have expected you feel the same way as other users, and to be happy with something the merps had done.
Even if I'd expected you to disagree, I would never have anticipated your hijacking of a positive thread to express your preference for having the MERPs act other than as they do.
Seems I haven't gotten to know you at all over the years
Gosh, I've missed the great fourum spirit here!
Here's a thread you might have missed (although I know you never miss anything). I'm sure you'll jump at the opportunity to say something nice to someone: http://www.fwfr.com/fourum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8125

Whenever people have whinged about the delay, I've said again and again that I'd rather the MERPs went slowly and made good decisions. I'm not going to suddenly change my mind now that they have decided to rush through the submissions, and pretend that that is a good thing.

Yes: big up to the MERPs. Not only did my sizeable pending pile evaporate a few days back but more recent submissions are going through at a gooses digestive transit speed.
Just as importantly, at least as far as Im concerned, is that negotiating with MERPs about the wording of borderline too generic reviews seems to have become far easier of late I assume because they have more time. The dialogue stops when a compromise is reached & reviews are accepted, so I wanted to say here: thanks for that too.
