TA:MOU = Themed Anniversary: Moving On Up

DA NEW ROOLZ

Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some world event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link. You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme.

You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted.

Yours truly
Da Management

ON THIS DAY
in 1958 The Ford Motor Company produced its 50 millionth automobile, the Thunderbird, averaging almost a million cars a year since the company's founding.
AND
a decade later to the day, General Motors produced its 100 millionth automobile, the Oldsmobile Toronado.

So look around your fwfr showroom and display all your reviews for films that feature cars - either in the title, as main characters, or in some way essential to the plot.

Here's the imdb keyword list, but not all are really relevant.

Yes, road movies count!

Breakdown

Cars

Collateral

Crash

Death Race

Eurotrip

Fast & Furious

Flash of Genius

Gran Torino (with potential spoiler)

Happy-Go-Lucky

Herbie: Fully Loaded and The Italian Job -- I consciously used the same idea for these because I already thought it about these two models, virtually the only cars that I can recognise, in tandem.

Kid Auto Races at Venice

Race

Sex Drive

Speed Racer

Ta Ra Rum Pum

Taxi

Thelma and Louise

Transformers

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (with spoiler)

Transporter 3

What Would Jesus Drive?

I'd love to post "Beetlemania" here, but it got 'title play only', inexplicably.
