That darned brother of mine has done it again! Today he was interviewed on "Oprah!" and received some exciting news from Tyler Perry during the broadcast: Perry liked him so much he has cast Isaiah in his upcoming film "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf" (2011)!

Check out the cast of women reported to have signed up for the film:
    Halle Berry
    Mariah Carey
    Whoopi Goldberg
    Oprah Winfrey
    Janet Jackson
    Angela Bassett
    Kerry Washington
    Loretta Devine
    Jurnee Smollett
    Phylicia Rashad
    Kimberly Elise
    Macy Gray

I'm pretty sure he won't be cast opposite Janet Jackson, but here's a funny coincidence: years and years ago, when I was a young actor, I auditioned for a part on an episode of "Diff'rent Strokes". In that episode, my character was to be the (abusive) boyfriend of a character played by a young Janet Jackson. I didn't get the part, but I did meet Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges (though he looks nothing like his dad Lloyd or brother Jeff!). Maybe Janet will "date" one of the Mustafa boys after all. (I hope he treats her nicer. )

I added that film here, so I'm sure that Mustafa'd something to do with it.

By the way, congratulations to him, of course. Well deserved.

However, I cannot see at all how it can be a film. Might be interesting.

To you, the credit kind sir; I humbly bow.

Keep working on that tribute review: God made hyphens for a reason!

(I, too, wonder at the filmicization of that one. But hey: I'm not knocking it! )

He's listed against the film on the I.M.D.B. now so I've reimported the film here.

When you joined this site, MguyX, did you imagine that all these years later you'd see his name listed here with all those big names?

Okay, not related to the movie, but my son's girlfriend just got her first professional job as a copywriter for the top ad agency in the country. Anyway, he was telling us that as part of her training she was given homework to watch a DVD of the commercials that were aired at Cannes. When we mentioned commercials, my daughter suddenly pops up saying "I'm on a horse" and I had to laugh - I had no idea that his commercial was even shown here - since they don't sell Old Spice here! Of course, I mentioned the connection...

(I think they're airing that commercial on one of the music channels like MTV.)
