Spoiler for Chloe here but only very obliquely in the fourth review: She is a prostitute who invents liaisons as having occurred in a botanical garden.

My sister studied Horticulture in High School. One of her teachers commented (circa 1969) "You can lead a horticulture but you can't maker her learn. Horticulture - isn't that the education of bad girls? Now I know why you always wear those tight shirts!"

(Badda-boom-Tish!)

The first part is courtesy of Dorothy Parker (circa 1920?) - when challenged at a party to say something witty about horticulture she replied "you can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think."

V&V.

Yep, that's Dorothy Parker's most famous line. My second favorite is a little poem which has guided me through life:

Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song,
A medley of extemporanea;
And love is a thing that can never go wrong;
And I am Marie of Romania.

Chicks can be funny!

If all the young ladies who attended the Yale prom were laid end to end, no one would be the least surprised.

Yep.

'I can't write five words but that I change seven': Dorothy Parker. Maybe she meant four words.

Some good stuff this round.
