My sister studied Horticulture in High School. One of her teachers commented (circa 1969) "You can lead a horticulture but you can't maker her learn. Horticulture - isn't that the education of bad girls? Now I know why you always wear those tight shirts!"

The first part is courtesy of Dorothy Parker (circa 1920?) - when challenged at a party to say something witty about horticulture she replied "you can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think." |

V&V.
Yep, that's Dorothy Parker's most famous line. My second favorite is a little poem which has guided me through life:
Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song, A medley of extemporanea; And love is a thing that can never go wrong; And I am Marie of Romania.

'I can't write five words but that I change seven': Dorothy Parker. Maybe she meant four words.
Some good stuff this round.
