I have no idea why I found Mr. Holland Opus so damned difficult to review.

I saw the movie in 1996 and since I joined the FWFR community this is one movie that I must have tried at least tem variations on a theme to get approved.

Maybe it was because I couldn't bring myself to watch it again and as more time elapsed since I had seen it the details faded away in my memory.

So when I saw the approval my FWFR heart did a little whoop!

It's these little things that are one of the elements that make up my love of this site.

Thanks again Merps and keep up those stringent standards which keep the quality of reviews so high.

It's funny isn't it... some films are so easy to come up with something, and some take forever. I've been struggling with two or three troublesome ones myself for ages now. I think it's because the reviews for those films are already so good it's hard to think of anything half as decent. Glad you got your opus written!

I can't get one through for Defiance for the life of me. I submitted what seemed to me worse and worse ideas and now I can't think of anything at all.

It doesn't help when a review covering a central aspect of the film and not obviously applicable to any other gets rejected without explanation.

Now I'm stumped by Cheaper by the Dozen and I'm not sure I even want to spend anymore energy on it!
