Two of these were inspired by Bean's Frida review (opposite meaning though).

Five Whale-y good reviews
NB: "Gods and Monsters" is a biopic of director James Whale The identity of the Invisible Man is revealed in my two reviews for those who enjoy cryptic crossword anagrams. In "Van Helsing", a lame tribute to the classic Universal horrors, Hugh Jackman takes on Dracula. |

Oh, go on then. I'll join in for a change.
Note: The Royal Flying Corps was the WW1 predecessor to the Royal Air Force. Dawn Patrol starred Errol Flynn. |

&c Can’t imagine why the unimaginative farce Death at a Funeral has just been remade, but anyway. My reviews — the 4th & 5th from left to right — of the 2007 Brit original & the 2010 American remake aren’t spoilers because you’re unlikely to understand them without knowing the plot (there’s only one plot); but if you want to appreciate either movie's comedic brilliance without foreknowledge, don’t read this: Peter Dinklage stars in both films. He plays the lover of the secretly gay codger who’s carked it, & threatens to reveal all to the funeral guests if he’s not paid off. He gets trussed up & put into the coffin with his ex-lover at one point.
