- Do not use reviews from the previous round - you must change them every round.
- Post here to declare that you've done it. Sooner is better than later.
- Provide a spoiler warning in your post when appropriate.
- You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants.
- The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 a.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next.
- The initiator of the next round will name the thread "FYCTH - #***" or "Sean's FYCTH - #***", "***" is one integer greater than the number of the current round. The initiator of the next round will copy this post verbatim and it will appear as the opening post of the next round, the only things that may be changed are fonts/colours and smileys (which may be removed altogether if desired) and the inviso comment after "Sean Says:".

Bringing you 50-odd years of cine-pleasure

You prob'ly know that ...

The Deadly Bees, which provocatively mixes 60's pop with honey-makers, features scenes with and soundtrack by The Birds. Which, I have been told, is NOT The Byrds.

In Mary Reilly, Julia Roberts plays a housemaid who recounts her troubled past to her boss Dr Jekyll before he develops a potion to repress Mr Hyde.

Deja vu for one review

I'm just going to explain it.

The Day The Earth Stood Still was released in 1951 and centered on fears of a nuclear holocaust. Klaatu represents nearby planets who will not tolerate a nuclear-armed Earth in their neighborhood.

The 2008 remake featured Keanu Reeves, whose name anagrammatically builds "a severe nuke."

So, the 1951 film predicts a severe nuke, and my fwfr also predicts a future remake with Keanu.

Ong Bak 2 is a prequel.

Pick-ey Rourke

NB:
Tarsem Singh is directing the forthcoming Greek myth film "Immortals" -
a familiarity with the opening line of Homer's Iliad might help: "O Sing Goddess, of the anger of Achilles..."
In "Wild Orchid" Carré Otis is Rourke's love interest.
"Once Upon a Time in Mexico" was the Rodriguez' own follow up to "Desperado".

Puns don’t come any viler than one of these. Don’t know how well it’ll travel though.

In The Merry Gentleman, hitman Frank (Keaton) meets the mysterious Kate (Macdonald) when she’s trapped under a fallen Xmas tree.

Fairly long stretches of Ca$h feature baddie Sean Bean calculating down to the last cent how much a young couple who have spent a chunk of the proceeds of a robbery owe him. Whether this is supposed to be funny or menacing is anybody’s guess.

Good one, and the only one of yours I hadn't voted on yet.

(And Larry's review for The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas is excellent!)

Thanks, CLady. I had already voted for a couple of yours, but just voted for Guys and Dolls, too
