I really enjoyed this at the time and had a great feel-good buzz coming out of the cinema. It evokes the sense of a certain time in a coherent and satisfying way, although it's hard for me to judge whether that is an accurate version of the 'seventies or revisionism. I cared about the characters and there are many entertaining moments. Looking back, though, it's perhaps somewhat flimsier than it might be.
