Woah! I've just had 50 reviews declined in one fell swoop.
It looks like all Playboy films have been removed from FWFR ... which means the Playboy accolade I spent a month or more trying to get last year is also gone.
That SUCKS.

That's thanks to me, I'm afraid, sort of. If beefcake films aren't allowed, then it is important that cheesecake ones aren't either.

| Well, you've all had plenty of time to campaign to save them (by which I mean bring back the Dieux du Stade videos as obviously one set could not validly be retained without the other) -- it was in June that I highlighted the inequality to Benj. |

If you want someone to blame for the removal of these, blame whoever added titles that aren't exactly 'films' to the Four Word Film Review. I don't think too many people are going to include those Playboy videos in their "Films I've Seen" lists.
Since the crackdown on non-movies I haven't lost a single review, that's because I don't review non-movies.
The simple way to avoid this kind of disappointment is to not add this stuff to the site, and if someone else adds it then don't review it. |

Yup, I've lost a few reviews but I don't mind that so much. I just mind (i) losing films that are absolutely, definitely, no-doubt-about-it films and (ii) the huge inconsistency with which things are being removed. For example, while we didn't used to have porn films except perhaps Deep Throat and the one with John Wayne Bobbitt, we now have loads of those but a not-made-for-television feature-length documentary about porn stars (and others) has been excluded.
N.B. The male 'equivalents' I mentioned of those Playboy videos are on my 'films I've seen' list and they're absolutely awesome.  |

Thankfully I never reviewed any of these, but I can see how some of you feel that because they were on the site, they were fair game to review. And, yes, we may lose some inspired reviews, but that doesn't mean that those 'film' titles deserved to be here in the first place.
I lost a 30+ review in a recent accident so don't think I'm not grieving too.
Not too worried about the gay films going. Gay films suck ass. |

| In case anyone hasn't realised, when a film is removed any declined reviews pop up to the top of the list as if declined again, so you may not have lost as many reviews as you think. |

That's terrible!  Well I hope at least that it was a quick one and that it experienced no pain. So young; what a terrible, terrible loss.

On a side note, I recently had a 7-year old review deleted as "similar to another," and sure enough it was damned near identical to one that was created, literally, a day before mine (benj must have been processing at high volume on those couple of days). It's gone, and I'm not bitching about it. Just because it was allowed to break the rules for a long time doesn't constitute a guarantee of dispensation in the future: ROMAN POLANSKI, BE FOURWARNED!!!  |
