Not difficult, but against my tastes and more importantly pointless.
The only reason for the general voting to be anonymous is that for participants it is awkward if they don't reciprocate. Seeing as I didn't enter there isn't the slightest reason not to vote openly. Given that the overall results are revealed, there is nothing wrong with saying that some points were offered by a particular person.
And you didn't lurk either: lurking is reading a thread and not posting. |

The major reason for anonymous voting is for the same reason that exit polls are banned in many democratic countries. People see where the votes are going and change their votes; perhaps by voting for the one they see winning (crowd following), or voting against the one that they might have voted for if they see it has more votes than they think it deserves (negative reactionary behaviour), or perhaps by not bothering voting if they think the winner is already clear. If, however, voting is anonymous then people will vote for the ones they think are best.
A third reason for not voting in the fourum for FWPT is that I won't count them unless they're anonymous, therefore it's a complete waste of time.
