Hold on, you say, this isn't where we discuss some Mark Dascasos cheapie! In spite of the "straight to DVD" title this is a little gem of a movie.

The plot is one of the most inventive uses of time travel I have seen. Made in Spain with no-name actors and no special effects it uses the twists of the plot to hold the viewer. It is almost impossible to describe any aspect of the plot without givng the game away.

Suffice to say it starts with a middle aged man and his wife remodelling a house near some woods. He is relaxing on a lawn chair when something catches his eye. He goes to investigate and...then the fun begins! The more the guy tries to correct things the more things go wrong. In fact , it's like the Butterfly Effect, only thrilling.

It is one of the most tightly plotted time travel movies I have seen. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a twisting and challenging plot.

i'm just going to have to refuse to see time-travel stories. i'm never satisfied with the result and just have more questions at the end.

also, of the films i've seen from rabid kazook's list, i agree with most.
Big Man Japan is a blast.
I was underwhelmed by District 9.
Sunshine was great until it tried to turn into a horror movie.
I'd also like to add Moon and (if it qualifies as sci-fi) Let The Right One In as good, recent sci-fi.
