So I'm sitting there wondering why some talented people would sign up to this dreck and trying very hard to think up some little something positive to say about it ... and then the mothers showed up.
Those are the trio that apparently claim to have birthed the baddie ... how does that work - one-third of a foetus in each womb? A womb transplant every trimester? Anyway ... they do have a post-natal talent and that's to shoot these really hot lasery stuff from the ends of their fingers. So I thought well that could come in handy, because what if they wanted a snack. Well, drop a lump of cheese onto a handy slice of bread - do the laser thing and hey! presto! instant cheese on toast!
Yes, ladies and gents, that's how interesting this film is
Not as bad as I'd expected from everything I'd read and heard. But still pretty goddam bad. A few funny moments from almost every major character*, adding up to about :05 in all. The movie has 1:30 worth of additional footage.
Beautiful long CGI shots of faraway adventurers trudging through Ireland, each one evidently meant to be a parody of LORD OF THE RINGS. These shots are the best thing about the flick.
